Jayne Potts - New Appointment for Housing Needs Survey Officer for Eden District

E-mail Print PDF

Jayne Potts of Cumbria Rural Housing Trust is the Housing Needs Survey Officer for the Eden area.

The purpose of her post is to take forward a programme of Housing Needs Surveys in the Eden District, with the long term aim of ensuring that suitable affordable housing is developed in the area. The survey is designed to identify if there is a housing need at parish level, the information gathered through the survey is used to influence policy making at the District Council.

Her role is to work closely with Eden’s rural communities to raise awareness of affordable housing and to ensure that they are engaged in the survey process.  One of her aims is to promote maximum community input into the survey, as it gives people the opportunity to identify their housing priorities, with this information we can work with rural communities and Eden District Council to find solutions if there is found to be a lack of affordable housing in the area.

The first set of Housing Need Surveys (Upper Eden area) are now complete and can be viewed in the "Survey" section.
